i purposely erased the hard drive in the notebook computer. i wanted to start anew but now i need to know the steps to install various programs. i am told to begin with operating system, then after the word processing program. kindly assist and provide the step-by-step to install the operating system. other recommendations are appreciatively accepted. thank you.

Has anyone had any issues with this notebook. I am debating between this notebook, sony vaio F and macbook pro. What pros and cons do you have.
I want a computer that can game and do pretty much anything but I also want to take it to work. I would love a battery that last long enough to watch a movie. Which one out of the 3 will last?
